Columbia County Authorities Arrest Eight During Thunder Over Evans Event for Disorderly Conduct
During the Thunder Over Evans event in Columbia County, which was held to honor Armed Forces Day, eight individuals, including four juveniles, were arrested for disorderly conduct and affray. The event, which took place at Evans Towne Center Park, was intended to be a family-friendly celebration featuring fireworks and laser displays. Despite security measures, the event was disrupted by several fights and unruly behavior among attendees, leading to the removal of at least 33 people. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office, represented by Maj. Andy Shedd, reported that the arrested individuals included Noah Ott, 20, from North Augusta, charged with disorderly conduct; Arnett Bruno, 18, from Augusta, charged with affray; Jeremy Burns, 17, from Grovetown, charged with affray; and Devian Jackson, 17, from Augusta, charged with disorderly conduct. Additionally, four 16-year-olds were arrested, with charges ranging from affray to obstruction.
