Instructure Survey Reveals High AI Usage Among Students and Educators
A recent survey conducted by Instructure, an ed-tech company, revealed that 90% of higher-education students and 68% of K-12 educators are using AI tools, despite a lack of formal training. The survey, which included 1,125 respondents, highlighted a significant gap in AI training for educators, with only a small percentage receiving comprehensive training. The findings were presented at InstructureCon 2026, emphasizing the need for practical support and clear guidelines to ensure effective AI integration in education. Concerns about overreliance on AI, loss of critical thinking, and academic integrity were also noted among educators and parents.
