Broken Arrow Council Advances Sustainability Park With $11,193 LandPlan Contract Amendment
The Broken Arrow City Council has given its approval to hire a firm for the design and construction administration of a new park located west of the Rose District. This new green space, to be named "Sustainability Park," will be situated at 825 E. Dallas St., at the intersection of Lynn Lane Road and Dallas Street. The city acquired the vacant parcel in 2017. The park's primary features are planned to include a small gateway sign adorned with roses and a butterfly garden, which will incorporate a shrubbery screen to provide privacy for surrounding residences. This park is envisioned to function as a gateway park, similar to an existing one at Elm Place and West Broadway Avenue. The Broken Arrow Parks Department, in collaboration with the city's Engineering and Construction Department, selected Tulsa-based LandPlan Consultants for the design project, at a cost of $11,193.
