Washington D.C. Hosts a Packed Day of Cultural and Community Events
On May 2, Washington D.C. will host a variety of cultural and community events, making it one of the busiest days of the season. The annual Around the World Embassy Tours will allow the public to explore dozens of embassies, offering cultural performances and activities. The DC Citywide Truck Touch at RFK Stadium will feature over 30 trucks for children to explore, while Mount Vernon will host a Revolutionary War Weekend with reenactments and historical talks. The Flower Mart at Washington National Cathedral will offer a colorful display of plants and crafts, and Glen Echo Park will celebrate Carousel Day with rides and performances. Additionally, the Running of the Chihuahuas at the Wharf and the Adams Morgan Porch Fest will provide entertainment and community engagement.
