Riyadh Air Expands UK Routes with New Manchester Service and Early London Launch
Riyadh Air, a Saudi Arabian start-up airline, is expanding its services to the United Kingdom with the introduction of a new route to Manchester. This development follows the delivery of the airline's first two Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The Manchester service is set to begin on July 23, operating three times a week. Additionally, Riyadh Air is advancing the launch date of its full-service operation to London Heathrow, now scheduled for June 10, earlier than the initially planned July 1. The airline's CEO, Tony Douglas, emphasized the strategic importance of these routes in positioning Riyadh as a key transport hub with connections to major Asian cities such as Islamabad, Dhaka, Lahore, and Mumbai. Riyadh Air aims to operate flights to over 100 destinations by 2030, aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative.
