The criminal network was responsible for transporting bulk shipments of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine from Phoenix, Arizona, to Wichita, Kansas, for street distribution. Talavera, 32, of Wichita, maintained direct contact with cartel figures in Mexico and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, receiving a 228-month prison sentence. Authorities intercepted a significant shipment of 160,000 counterfeit Percocet pills laced with fentanyl destined for Wichita, leading to arrests and the subsequent dismantling of the operation.
