Azerbaijan's Chief Rabbi Visits Knesset, Strengthening Bilateral Ties
Rabbi Zamir Isayev, the Sephardic chief rabbi of Azerbaijan, visited Israel as part of events marking the Knesset's anniversary. During his visit, Isayev met with several Israeli lawmakers and emphasized the strategic importance of Azerbaijan's relationship with Israel, particularly in terms of security and shared regional interests. The visit follows a thwarted attack on the Israeli Embassy in Baku and discussions between Israeli and Azerbaijani leaders on expanding cooperation in economic, energy, and security fields. The visit also highlighted the growing tourism between the two countries, with a significant increase in Israeli visitors to Azerbaijan.
