Violent Weekend in Seattle's Belltown Neighborhood Leaves Three Dead, Four Injured in Multiple Shootings
Seattle police are investigating a series of violent incidents that occurred over the weekend in the Belltown neighborhood, resulting in three fatalities and four injuries from three separate shootings. The violence began early Sunday morning, around 12:37 a.m., during an illegal street takeover at Denny Way and Cedar Street. Surveillance footage captured cars performing stunts and fireworks being thrown, followed by a fight and subsequent gunfire, leaving two men shot, one fatally. Later, around 2:00 a.m., another shooting on 3rd Avenue and Blanchard Street resulted in a woman being found inside a vehicle with fatal gunshot wounds. The suspect in this incident is not yet in custody. The violent weekend concluded with a late-night shooting around 11:45 p.m. at Elliott Avenue and Bell Street, where a teenager died from a gunshot wound and a 21-year-old man was injured in the leg following a fight.
