Heavy Rain, Flash Flood Threat Targets East Coast
Heavy rain and flash flooding are expected across much of the East Coast through early this week as a slow-moving storm system advances east. The highest risk shifts to the Northeast on Monday, including New York City and Boston, where repeated downpours could trigger flooding in low-lying areas and disrupt travel. Rainfall totals of 1–2 inches are widespread, with isolated areas receiving much more. While severe storms are limited, localized flooding, overflowing streams, and hazardous road conditions remain the biggest concerns.
