Ambrosia Biosciences Reveals Promising Preclinical Data for AMB-702 at ADA
Ambrosia Biosciences Inc. has announced preclinical data for its small molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist, AMB-702, at the American Diabetes Association's 86th Scientific Sessions. The data shows that AMB-702 provides superior target coverage and efficacy in lean non-human primates, with significant weight loss and improved glycemic control. The compound demonstrated a 12.6% placebo-adjusted mean weight loss over seven days, outperforming a comparator drug. AMB-702 also showed enhanced insulin secretion in a humanized GLP-1 receptor mouse model, indicating its potential as a next-generation treatment for obesity and metabolic disorders.
