U.S. Department of State Expands Passport Acceptance Fairs to Meet High Demand
The U.S. Department of State has announced a series of special passport acceptance fairs across the country to accommodate the high demand for passports as more Americans plan international travel. These fairs are scheduled to take place during evenings and weekends, providing greater accessibility for first-time applicants who may find it difficult to visit passport offices during regular weekday hours. The events will be hosted at various locations, including post offices, libraries, and clerks of court, and are primarily aimed at first-time applicants, children, and those required to apply in person. While most events are designed for new applications, some may also accept renewals, depending on the location. The State Department has provided a detailed list of upcoming fairs, specifying whether appointments are required.
