European Commission Faces Pressure as Industrial Stakeholders Plan Convoy for Competitiveness
On September 7, 2026, industry stakeholders from across Europe will gather in Brussels to participate in the European Convoy for Industrial Competitiveness. This event, organized by EUROMETAL, aims to address the growing challenges faced by manufacturers, steel distributors, service centers, traders, SMEs, and workers across Europe. These challenges threaten investment, production, resilient supply chains, and quality industrial jobs. The convoy will convene in front of the European Commission’s Berlaymont headquarters to urge policymakers to implement a policy framework that strengthens Europe’s competitiveness, supports investment, and safeguards industrial employment. EUROMETAL is encouraging companies, associations, and all industrial stakeholders to actively participate in this initiative by sending trucks to Brussels, making their voices heard, and sharing the initiative within their networks.
