Bangladesh is seeking to formalize the recruitment of its workers for Sarawak's development sector, particularly focusing on construction and agriculture, through a proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Sarawak state government. This proposal was discussed during a courtesy visit by Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia, Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury, with Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg. The discussions, held in a constructive atmosphere, also explored broader areas of cooperation to strengthen bilateral ties, including agriculture, agro-processing, and renewable energy.
