Naperville Police Investigate Route 59 Shooting Involving Known Parties
Naperville police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Friday night on Route 59 near Aurora Avenue. The incident, reported around 9:20 p.m. in the 600 block of South Route 59, involved occupants of two cars reportedly firing guns at each other. A witness alerted authorities, who subsequently located the two vehicles and interviewed their occupants. Despite the exchange of gunfire, no charges have been filed, and there is no evidence to suggest that anyone was injured. Police have stated that the parties involved were known to each other, and they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with additional information to contact them.
