World Food Prize Foundation Hosts Record-Breaking Iowa Youth Institute to Address Global Food Security
The World Food Prize Foundation recently hosted the 15th Iowa Youth Institute at Iowa State University, marking a record attendance of over 365 students. This event, in collaboration with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, focused on global challenges related to hunger, agriculture, and food security. Students prepared Global Challenge Research Papers on food security issues in various countries and presented their solutions to scientists, industry professionals, and academic leaders. The event featured remarks from notable figures such as Tom Vilsack, CEO of the World Food Prize Foundation, and Mashal Husain, its President. The Iowa Youth Institute aims to connect students with leaders in science and agriculture, fostering discussions and interactive experiences to strengthen global food systems.
