Jill Grano Seeks Return to Boulder City Council Amid Housing and Economic Challenges
Jill Grano, a former member of the Boulder City Council, is seeking to return to her previous position. Grano, who was elected to the council in 2017, resigned in 2019 to work for U.S. Representative Joe Neguse. Grano has been actively involved in community affairs, serving in various roles including director of community affairs for Neguse and interim senior director of policy programs for the Boulder Chamber. She has also completed a master's degree in geography, focusing on housing and land-use issues in Boulder. Grano's campaign emphasizes the need for systemic thinking to tackle the city's challenges, including the restrictive land-use code and the impact of financialization on commercial rents.
