RDA Seeks Bidders for Gary Blight Elimination Projects
The Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (RDA) has issued a call for bids to demolish several structures in Gary, Indiana, as part of the Gary Blight Elimination Program. The targeted sites include the former Gordon’s Department Store Annex, the Gordon’s store, and the Genesis Convention Center. This initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize the city by removing blighted properties. The program, initially funded with $12 million, has received an additional $15 million from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation’s READI 2.0 program. The demolition projects aim to enhance the quality of life for residents and stimulate economic opportunities.
