Dry and Seasonable Weather in Pittsburgh Before Weekend Rain
Pittsburgh is experiencing a period of dry and seasonable weather as an upper-level ridge builds over the region, accompanied by surface high pressure (CBS News, 2026). This pattern is expected to bring clear skies and a gradual warming trend through the end of the week. Daytime highs will range from the mid-70s to near 80°F (24-27°C), while overnight lows will dip into the mid-50s to near 60°F (13-16°C). Winds will shift from the northwest to the southeast, reducing smoke in the skies and contributing to the warming trend. However, a weather system from the Midwest is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms starting Saturday evening, with rain chances persisting into Sunday and Monday.
