UNEP Seeks Project Management Officer for Sustainable Finance Initiative
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a Project Management Officer for its Climate Finance Unit to coordinate the 'Innovative Finance for the Amazon, Cerrado and Chaco (IFACC)' initiative. This initiative, in partnership with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and the World Economic Forum (WEF), aims to transform commodity markets to prevent deforestation and habitat conversion. The role involves coordinating activities related to catalytic capital and agricultural transition finance, engaging with financiers, and ensuring timely delivery of project activities. The initiative seeks to redirect public and private capital towards sustainable economic activities, focusing on deforestation-free commodity production that supports 'net zero, nature positive' environmental impacts.
