San Jose City College Launches $112 Million Career Education Complex to Enhance Workforce Development
San Jose City College has inaugurated a new $112 million Career Education Complex aimed at strengthening its role as a workforce development hub for Silicon Valley. The complex, located at the heart of the campus, spans approximately 120,000 square feet, combining a new 90,000-square-foot building with a renovated 30,000-square-foot facility. It consolidates 15 departments, including computer science, medical assisting, and electrical engineering, to provide students with diverse career pathways. Designed by Steinberg Hart and constructed by Flint Builders, the four-story building offers students a panoramic view of the college and the South Bay area. The facility is intended to simulate real workplace environments, fostering direct pipelines from education to careers in collaboration with tech, medical, and manufacturing industries.
