Oil Prices Decline as Middle East and Black Sea Supply Concerns Ease
Oil prices have fallen sharply as concerns over supply disruptions in the Middle East and Black Sea regions ease. Brent crude dropped more than 9% intraday, stabilizing around $90 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate also declined. The U.S. has paused military strikes against Iran, reducing immediate concerns about further disruptions to regional oil flows. Additionally, crude loadings have resumed at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal on Russia's Black Sea coast, alleviating fears of supply disruptions to European markets. Despite the selloff, crude futures remain up roughly 20% this month due to ongoing Middle East conflicts.
