Oakland Police Seize 77 Vehicles in Bay Bridge Dirt Bike Crackdown
In a coordinated operation, police in the San Francisco Bay Area seized 77 dirt bikes and ATVs and arrested nine individuals following a series of unruly street takeovers. The operation, which involved more than 100 officers from the Oakland Police Department, San Francisco Police, and the California Highway Patrol, targeted a group of riders who had been disrupting public safety by taking over city streets and intersections. The riders were trapped on the Bay Bridge, where the police had anticipated their movements. The charges against the arrested individuals include misdemeanors, felonies, firearm charges, and outstanding warrants. The operation was the culmination of a two-month investigation into the group's activities.
