Monroe County Community College Hosts Earth Day Expo to Promote Sustainability
Monroe County Community College is set to host an Earth Day Expo on April 25, organized by the Recycling & Green Community Program and other agencies. The event aims to promote sustainability, personal health, and green living. It will feature interactive exhibits showcasing methods to conserve energy, reduce waste, and live sustainably. The expo will also include an award ceremony recognizing participants in the Michigan Green Schools Program and the Climate Literacy Project, which involves creating sculptures from recycled materials. The event is free and open to families, offering live music, food trucks, and educational exhibits. The schedule includes a welcome at 11 a.m., Green School Awards at 12:30 p.m., and the announcement of the Turtle Sculpture winner at 1:30 p.m.
