Man Kills Wife and Daughter at Minnesota Daycare, Police Say
Nathan Brown, 41, fatally stabbed his wife, Kristen Brown, 41, and their 7-year-old daughter, Evie Brown, with a screwdriver inside the family's basement daycare in Hopkins, Minnesota. Following these stabbings, he then shot himself in an upstairs closet. Authorities also believe that Brown earlier killed a 78-year-old relative at her home in Burnsville, approximately 20 miles from Hopkins, where he had recently been residing. The incident at the daycare was partially witnessed by a father dropping off his children, who heard screams, entered the home, and initially mistook Brown's actions for CPR before realizing it was an attack. This witness promptly called 911 and fled with his own children and two other children present at the daycare. Six other children were present during the events but were not physically harmed.
