Coal Train Derailment in Eureka Causes Structural Concerns
A coal train derailment occurred near Eureka, Missouri, involving 26 cars of a 135-car-long Union Pacific train. The incident took place near Lewis Street, close to the Crescent Farms Golf Club. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and no hazardous materials were involved. However, the derailment compromised both tracks in the area, and one of the derailed cars struck the Lewis Road bridge.
