The 'Wing of Zion,' Israel's official state aircraft, remains largely grounded due to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's limited travel options following an international arrest warrant. The aircraft, which cost approximately $119.64 million to establish, has seen reduced activity, primarily used for training and maintenance. Despite its limited use, the aircraft incurs significant operational costs, totaling about $19.67 million from 2023 to 2025. The plane is supported by a full operational system, including flight attendants and ground crews, who must remain ready for any potential flights.
