Las Vegas Police Detain Suspect in Fatal Shooting of Innocent Bystander
Las Vegas police have detained a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of an innocent bystander in East Las Vegas. The incident occurred near the intersection of Bonanza Road and Lamb Boulevard. The victim, a woman in her 50s, was sitting in her vehicle when she was struck by a bullet intended for a man at a nearby bus stop. According to Lt. Monique Rodriguez, there was no altercation prior to the shooting, and the intended target fled the scene. The police received the initial call at 3:16 p.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to render aid, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information, including the intended victim, to come forward.
