Greensboro Driver Charged with DWI and Felony Child Abuse After Crash Critically Injures 4-Year-Old
Dominic Ravon Isley, 33, of Greensboro, faces multiple charges after a Monday afternoon crash on Burlington Road critically injured a 4-year-old child. According to the Greensboro Police Department, Isley was driving east on Burlington Road when he veered left of center and collided with a flatbed truck. The 4-year-old passenger in Isley's vehicle was improperly restrained in the back seat and sustained life-threatening injuries, remaining in critical condition at a local hospital. Isley, who suffered minor injuries, is being charged with driving while impaired (DWI), felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury, felony serious bodily injury by vehicle, driving while license revoked, driving left of center, and a child restraint violation. The driver of the flatbed truck sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident.
