Publix Expands Recall of Frozen Berries Due to E. coli Risk Across Eight States
Publix has expanded its recall of frozen blueberries and mixed berries sold under the GreenWise brand due to potential E. coli contamination. The recall affects products distributed in eight states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. The recall follows reports of 12 illnesses linked to the berries, which were produced by Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A. in Chile. Consumers are advised to discard the affected products or return them for a refund. The FDA and CDC are investigating the outbreak to determine the source of contamination.
