Ukraine's Military Intelligence Reveals New Russian 'Geran-4' Drone Modification Featuring U.S. Sensor
Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense has disclosed details about a new modification of Russia's 'Geran-4' reactive drones, which Russia began deploying in the autumn. The updated 'Geran-4' incorporates a new 'MOX' block, centered around a high-precision magneto-inductive sensor (magnetometer) PNI5GA, manufactured by the American company PNI Sensor. This new block works in conjunction with the SADRA inertial navigation module, enhancing the drone's autonomous navigation accuracy by reducing gyroscope drift. Other electronic components and blocks remain consistent with previous 'Geran' models. Russia has also introduced an optical-electronic correlation system called 'Susanin' for autonomous navigation, which compares images from an optical sensor with a reference image stored in its memory to ensure route adherence. This system is also utilized in the new 'Geran-5' K5 version. Furthermore, Russian forces are now employing a new cumulative-cutting special charge (KRSN) war...
