Ukraine faces a shortage of these interceptors, which are vital for its defense against Russian missile attacks. The production process, if approved, would require extensive certification and establishment of new suppliers, a task that could take years. Concerns also exist about the possibility of sensitive technology falling into Russian hands, should production occur in Ukraine.
