NRCC Expands Target List to Strengthen GOP Majority in House
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has announced an expansion of its target list, adding seven Democrat-held districts to its focus. This move is part of a broader strategy to increase the Republican majority in the House of Representatives. The newly targeted districts include AL-02, FL-14, FL-22, LA-06, MO-05, OH-01, and TN-09, bringing the total number of Democrat-held seats targeted by the NRCC to 36. NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson stated that the committee aims to hold Democrats accountable for what he described as an unpopular record and a radical agenda. The NRCC's strategy is to capitalize on districts where President Trump performed well in the 2024 elections, as 23 Democrats are running in districts he won, with 21 of those having received over 50% of the vote.
