Over 800 Birds Rescued from Neglect in San Diego County
San Diego County's Animal Services conducted a large-scale rescue operation, removing over 800 birds and two dogs from a property in Valley Center following reports of neglect. The birds, including ducks, geese, roosters, peacocks, and pigeons, were found living in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions. The operation involved multiple agencies, including Pasadena Humane and Chula Vista Animal Services. The rescued animals are being evaluated and treated at county shelters, with ongoing care supported by the Animal Services Spirit Medical Fund.
