Saudi Arabia Advances Tourism and Entertainment Sectors Under Vision 2030
Saudi Arabia is significantly investing in its urban and entertainment tourism sectors, with Riyadh emerging as a central hub for leisure, business, events, and entertainment. A major component of this development is Qiddiya, a new entertainment city under construction, which will feature sports facilities, theme parks, live entertainment venues, and adventure attractions. These initiatives are part of the broader Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the country's economy and enhance its appeal as a global tourist destination. The country is also strengthening its cruise tourism offerings with the introduction of Aroya Cruise voyages and developing historical sites like Diriyah to combine heritage with modern amenities such as restaurants, retail, and entertainment. Major festivals and international events are being leveraged to attract visitors year-round, contributing to the Kingdom's goal of reaching 150 million visits by 2030, surpassing its initial target of 100 million.
