Israeli Government Allocates NIS 1.1 Billion for AI-Enhanced Summer Education Programs
The Israeli government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has announced a significant investment of NIS 1.1 billion in summer education programs aimed at addressing the educational disruptions caused by Operation Roaring Lion. This initiative, confirmed by the Government Press Office, is designed to help students from kindergarten through ninth grade recover from the academic and emotional impacts of the conflict. The program includes a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) education, with plans to pilot AI learning in 40 schools before expanding it nationwide. The summer programs are divided into specialized tracks to provide age-appropriate support, including extended summer school for younger students and a 'Summer Plus' program for older students that emphasizes language, mathematics, English, and AI literacy.
