Metallica Foundation Commits Additional $10 Million to Workforce Development Initiative
The foundation associated with the rock band Metallica, known as the All Within My Hands Foundation, has announced a significant investment in its ongoing workforce development initiative. Over the next three years, the foundation will contribute an additional $10 million to the Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI), which has been operational since 2019. This initiative, in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), has already invested $15 million and supported 13,000 community college students across the United States and Guam. The program aims to enhance career and technical education by providing selected colleges with $75,000 each to support student scholarships, safety gear, learning materials, and related activities. The announcement was made by Renée Richardson, the director of philanthropy at the foundation, during an AACC board meeting.
