Turkish-Owned Vessel Cenk T Set Ablaze in Russian Attack on Odesa Region
A Turkish-owned RoPax vessel, Cenk T, was set on fire during a Russian missile attack on the Odesa region in Ukraine. The attack, which occurred midday, involved ballistic missiles and drones targeting Odesa and Chornomorsk, following an overnight assault that left over 90,000 families without electricity. The Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed the vessel strike, stating that the crew and truck drivers were evacuated. The Cenk T, owned by Turkey's Cenk RoRo, was transporting essential food supplies and has a capacity to carry up to 130 trucks. Ukrainian firefighters are working to control the blaze, and reports indicate one person was injured. The Turkish ministry expressed concerns over maritime security and called for an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
