Congressman Robert Aderholt has announced the approval of two Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) grants aimed at bolstering infrastructure and workforce development in Alabama's Fourth District. One grant, totaling $289,115, has been awarded to the Town of Brilliant in Marion County. This funding is designated for the 'Road Infrastructure to Enhance Development of the Gateway I-22 Industrial Park' project, which involves constructing a paved, three-lane access road connecting the industrial park's Alabama 129 entrance to new development sites and Interstate 22. The second grant, for $288,810, will go to Wallace State Community College for its 'Truck Driver Training Expansion' project. This initiative seeks to expand the existing truck driver training program, supporting enrollment and program completion for 300 workers and trainees, with a goal of helping 270 graduates secure employment.
