At a reception held at Buckingham Palace to commemorate what would have been Queen Elizabeth II's 100th birthday, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, wore a lilac midi dress by Emilia Wickstead, paired with a three-strand pearl necklace and Bahrain pearl drop earrings that belonged to the late Queen. These pieces were chosen for their sentimental value, as they were frequently worn by Queen Elizabeth during her lifetime. The event was attended by other senior royals, including King Charles III and Queen Camilla, who also participated in a preview of a new memorial dedicated to the Queen.
