Chicago Celebrates May Day with Citywide Rallies Advocating for Workers' Rights
On May 1, Chicagoans participated in May Day celebrations, also known as International Workers’ Day, with a series of performances, rallies, and marches across the city. Events took place in various locations, including Union Park and the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. This year's activities were part of a national movement under the theme 'no school, no work, no shopping,' aimed at advocating for immigrants' and workers' rights. The day was marked by civic engagement and public demonstrations, highlighting the ongoing struggle for labor rights and social justice.
