Woman Jailed in Topeka for Business Burglary, Faces Multiple Charges
Ashley Nicole McBratney, 38, of Topeka, Kansas, has been arrested and is currently held in the Shawnee County Jail in connection with the burglary of a central Topeka business. The incident was reported around 6:48 a.m. on Tuesday in the 1100 block of S.W. 21st Street. Topeka police spokeswoman Kimberly Qualls stated that officers responded to a reported burglary call at the location and, following an investigation, McBratney was apprehended. She was booked into the Shawnee County Jail at 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday. The charges against her include robbery, theft, aggravated burglary, and criminal threat. Additionally, Shawnee County Jail records indicate that McBratney is also being held on a separate court-ordered warrant. As of Wednesday morning, she remained in jail without bond.
