Sen. Pennycuick and Rep. Mackenzie Announce Over $750,000 in Grants for Montgomery County Communities
Senator Tracy Pennycuick (R-24) and Representative Milou Mackenzie (R-131) have announced that over $750,000 in grant funding has been secured for various community projects in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The total amount awarded is $765,109. These grants were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) through the Local Share Account (LSA) Statewide Program. The LSA program distributes gaming revenues, as outlined in the PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act 2004-71), to support projects that serve the public interest within the Commonwealth. The CFA, an independent agency of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, is responsible for administering the state's economic stimulus packages. The funding will support essential services and infrastructure improvements, including new police vehicles, a dump truck for public works, non-lethal tasers, and rehabilitation of aging manholes.
