The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has reclassified the case from a missing person to a homicide investigation. Fowlie shared this update on Instagram, expressing his family's shift from hoping for her safe return to seeking justice and accountability for her death. He revealed that there is evidence suggesting Downer's phone and social media accounts were compromised before her disappearance, with individuals using them to create a false narrative and solicit money. Fowlie is urging the public to share his sister's story in hopes of finding someone who might have information about her case.
