Single Working Mom Chooses Senior Living for Ailing Father Amidst Caregiving Challenges
Shifali Erasmus, a single mother and vice-president at a PR agency in the San Francisco Bay Area, faced a challenging decision regarding the care of her elderly parents. Her father, an 81-year-old former neurosurgeon, required extensive medical care following a fall and spinal surgery. With her mother also experiencing health issues, Erasmus considered moving her parents into a shared home with her and her teenage sons.
