Obama Center Announces Grand Opening Weekend Festivities in Chicago
The Obama Presidential Center has announced a series of free public events for its grand opening weekend, set to take place on its 19.3-acre campus in Chicago's Jackson Park neighborhood. The festivities, scheduled from June 19 to June 21, will feature live performances, family activities, food, and speakers. The events aim to welcome residents from the South Side of Chicago, as well as visitors from across the city and around the world. Highlights include live music, dance performances, sports sessions led by Chicago's professional sports teams, and panel discussions on arts, culture, and democracy. The center's four-story museum, a major attraction, is already heavily booked through mid-July, with timed-entry tickets available until November 30.
