Rain and Thunderstorms Expected to Cool Down Southern California This Week
Southern California is set to experience a shift from recent heat to cooler, wetter conditions this week. According to the National Weather Service, there is a 70% chance of precipitation starting Thursday, with rain expected to continue through Saturday. This change follows a record-breaking warm March, where temperatures soared to 102°F (39°C) in Woodland Hills and 93°F (34°C) in Lancaster. The upcoming weather will bring relief from the heat, with temperatures expected to drop a few degrees above normal by midweek. The forecast also includes a 10% to 20% chance of thunderstorms, which could bring heavier rain, stronger winds, and potential mudslides in some areas.
