Angus Calf Rescued from San Antonio Walmart Parking Lot and Drainage Tunnel
A young Angus bull calf, dubbed 'Moodini' by animal care services, was spotted wandering through a Walmart Supercenter parking lot on Southeast Military Drive in San Antonio, Texas. Shoppers reported the calf's presence, prompting a response from Animal Care Services (ACS) and local police. Under municipal law, livestock is prohibited from roaming freely within city limits. Authorities guided the calf out of traffic and into a nearby green space. However, the animal subsequently fled into a large drainage tunnel. After traveling some distance through the subterranean pipe, the calf settled down, allowing ACS officers to safely remove it and load it into a livestock trailer. Authorities are now seeking information from the public to identify the calf's owner.
