Oklahoma City Council Approves First MAPS 4 Youth Center at Woodson Park
The Oklahoma City Council has given the green light for the construction of the first MAPS 4 Youth Center at Woodson Park. This initiative is part of a broader effort to support children and teens in the city with after-school and summer programs. The facility, which will be operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County, is set to be a 48,370-square-foot center featuring basketball courts, learning centers, youth lounges, and more. The center aims to provide a safe and enriching environment for young people, offering resources such as performing arts studios and spaces for workforce development. This is the first of four planned youth centers under the MAPS 4 program, with additional sites to be developed at other locations in the city.
