Burke Law Group Secures $150 Million Contract for Legal Services to Unaccompanied Migrant Children
The Burke Law Group, a Houston-based law firm, has been awarded a $150 million contract to provide legal services to unaccompanied migrant children. This contract, set to commence on August 15, aims to offer legal orientation, consultation, and representation during immigration proceedings. The decision follows the expiration of a previous contract with a network of nearly 100 legal groups due to non-payment issues. The new contract is intended to enhance the Office of Refugee Resettlement's capacity to support these children in their legal processes. The firm, which has 26 employees across eight offices, has updated its practice areas to include immigration law, alongside administrative law, white-collar defense, and commercial litigation.
