California Wildfire Near Full Containment as Evacuation Orders Lifted
The Springs Fire in Riverside County, Southern California, which prompted evacuation orders, is now 95% contained, according to fire officials. The wildfire, fueled by Santa Ana winds with gusts up to 45 mph, expanded to approximately 4,176 acres. Initially, the fire was only 25% contained, leading to evacuation orders for numerous neighborhoods. However, all evacuation orders and warnings have since been lifted. Fortunately, no structures were reported damaged or destroyed, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
